Pandan (Pandanus amaryllifolius) commonly grown in Asia. Widely used for food flavoring, decorative plants and aromatic scent. A simple use but very effective ways to clear bad odor from car interior, just leave one bunch in, until dry for a week, the unpleasant smell will disappear. A spiky-leaved pineapple I grew in the farm (Local Brunei call it nanas manis), true to its name, if harvested when its fully ripe, it will be very sweet. Notice the spike leaves, guarding the fruit against the enemy; human. It takes almost one year to get into this stage.
Seen from Mary Cairn Cross Park, looking southeast. Quiet and peaceful farming villages nestle around the mountain. The park is about 1km. on road from Maleny, Sunshine Coast.
